There are 65,000 Black Churches in America with over 30 Million Members. The Black Church is and has been the foundation of the Black Community. Hence, responsible for over $70 Billion in Spending Power it is necessary to leverage the resources of the members to minister to the WHOLE PERSON both spiritually and economically. Faith Based Economist, Dr. E. Lance McCarthy,  who has consulted the Catholic Church and nationwide and has lectured at Bishop TD Jakes Potter House and Harvard University, is sharing his "Faith and Finance" research on how the Black Church can obtain new revenue and thus, provide economic sustainability and jobs for those in the congregation.  Faith and Finance will explore the consumption patterns and the economic impact of the Black Church and its members along with Solutions that will provide economic growth for the church and its members. This interactive workshop will have each participant bring his/her vision plan to see how it fits within the "Social Entrepreneurship" model - that shows how a church can OWN a for profit businesses and generate additional revenue for the church.
