Ferguson 1000 has developed "Hiring Events" for the Ferguson and St. Louis region for the last three and half years. Our approach was to develop economic solutions to urban unrest and high unemployment.
One of our services we extend in our HIRING EVENTS is expunge services. We have connected with great companies who believe in giving ex offenders a second chance and creating good loyal employers. Plus it has a direct economic impact and reduces crime in our region. We one of the few Career Fairs that offers the attendees prayer. We believe in the power of prayer.
One of the biggest challenges ex offenders face after they are released from prison is finding a job. They’ve served their time, but the punishment often continues in the workforce. That’s why a second chance is often the key to a bright future. It is this reason and our past success that we are partnering on the Ex Offenders' Career Fair April 10, 2018 at the Chaifetz Arena at 9am to 1pm
Our goals is to have more than 100 employers to include numerous nonprofits and service providers.
We are asking churches in the community to partner with us at our CITY WIDE JOBS REVIVAL at St. Francis Xavier College Church at St. Louis University on April 9 at 7 pm on Lindell and Grand .
We will have a service to share and inspire and pray for those attending the CAREER FAIR the next day. We want your participation in this event and welcome your sharing it with your congregation.
